Manual or Hands-on Therapy

Most orthopaedic injuries and post-operative conditions are treated using manual therapy (also known as hands-on contact) techniques. This strengthens and increases motion to the affected areas of the body and provides our therapists with direct feedback regarding your pain, motion restriction, areas of weakness or abnormal movement patterns. Manual therapy techniques also direct the progression of range-of-motion and strengthening exercises and the use of physical and occupational therapy equipment.
